A historic building
Marc Promis, the owner of Giscours from 1825 to 1847, sought to restore the vineyard and elevate it to the level of its prestigious neighbours. He turned Giscours into a modern operation by building other structures around the Château, including these stables, devoted to tilling the soil with draught horses.
In the 1970s and up to the end of the 1990s, this building served as stables for an iconic Giscours pastime: polo. It was used to store equipment, provide a practice area for professional and amateur players, and to celebrate victories in the Polo Bar.
