These terms and conditions apply to the sale of products by Château Giscours in the store accessible via the internet and by telephone. They are made available to the purchaser automatically on the homepage of the Château Giscours website.
The purchaser simply needs to click on ‘terms and conditions of sale’ (hereinafter T&Cs) to view the terms and conditions for their order, which they can do before beginning the order process.
As a result, the act of placing an order implies full and unconditional acceptance of these T&Cs, excluding all other documents such as flyers or catalogues sent by the seller which are indicative only.
The fact that the seller does not cite one of these general terms and conditions at a given time may not be interpreted as a waiver of the right to cite any such conditions at a later date.
Our offerings are reserved exclusively for private individuals.
Orders and bookings are confirmed by email. Where full prepayment is required under these Terms and Conditions, the order or booking shall only become confirmed and binding upon receipt of the full payment by Château Giscours.
Access to website:
Once the Customer has accessed the Website, they can select the Product(s) that they wish to order and place it/them in their shopping cart, which is on the right-hand side of the screen. They can remove Products from their cart or change Product quantities at any time by clicking on the relevant buttons. Once they have selected their chosen Product(s), the Customer can check out their cart by clicking on ‘PROCEED TO CHECKOUT’. By clicking this button, the Customer acknowledges and expressly waives their entitlement to the benefits of Article 1587 of the French Civil Code.
Final order process:
A summary of the order is shown on the screen. At this stage, the Customer can still remove Products from their cart or change Product quantities at any time by clicking on the relevant buttons. The Customer must click on the ‘PLACE ORDER’ button to confirm the order. By clicking this button, the Customer expressly acknowledges that they are required to pay the total order amount in order to receive delivery. The Customer is then invited to agree to these terms and conditions of sale by ticking the box at the bottom of the screen and clicking ‘CONFIRM PAYMENT’. By clicking this button, the Customer is committing to pay for the order.
Order confirmation:
Once the order has been confirmed, the Customer will receive an order confirmation email sent to the address given when they set up their account. This email will confirm the key points of the order, in particular the product(s), the price(s) of the product(s), delivery times, and delivery methods. This email will also summarise the payment methods and the conditions under which the Customer may exercise their right of withdrawal.
PRICES
All prices are stated in euros (€).
Prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable but exclude shipping costs.
Château Giscours reserves the right to correct any typographical errors, display errors or manifest pricing errors.
Invoicing
A detailed invoice is available upon request.
Invoices are issued in euros (€).
Unless otherwise agreed, all payments shall be made in euros.
Some items are subject to a minimum order quantity. This specific condition is clearly specified on the website for each relevant item.
Payment Terms
The full purchase price is payable upon placing the order through the Website.
Payment may be made using one of the following methods:
secure online payment by credit or debit card;
payment by telephone using a credit or debit card.
Secure Online Payment
Château Giscours uses a secure online payment system based on industry-standard
encryption technology.
When payment is made, the card details entered by the Customer are encrypted before being transmitted, ensuring that confidential banking information cannot be intercepted during transmission.

Visits and experiences offered by Château Giscours are available by advance reservation only and are subject to availability.
For all visits and experiences, with the exception of the Classic Visit and the Track & Taste – On the Siren’s Trail Visit, full prepayment is required prior to confirmation of the booking. A booking shall only become confirmed and binding upon receipt of
the full payment by Château Giscours.
Any cancellation made less than seven (7) days prior to the scheduled date of the visit shall result in Château Giscours retaining the full amount paid in respect of the booking, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For visits that do not require prepayment, Château Giscours reserves the right to refuse any future booking or to require full prepayment for subsequent bookings in the event of a no-show.
Wine tastings offered as part of the visits are reserved exclusively for guests aged 18 years and over, in accordance with French legislation.
Château Giscours reserves the right to modify the itinerary, programme or wines presented during a visit where operational requirements, adverse weather conditions or circumstances beyond its reasonable control make such modifications necessary,
provided that the overall nature and quality of the experience remain unchanged.
Pursuant to Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, leisure services provided on a specific date or during a specified period are not subject to the statutory right of withdrawal.
Guest rooms are available by advance reservation only and are subject to availability.
Each stay includes breakfast together with a tasting of the estate’;s wines, reserved for guests aged 18 years and over in accordance with French legislation. A guided tour of the estate may also be offered, subject to availability.
All guest rooms presented on the Website or in any promotional material are subject to availability. Château Giscours reserves the right to allocate a room of an equivalent category should operational reasons make this necessary.
Pets are not permitted in the guest rooms.
Full prepayment is required prior to confirmation of the booking. A booking shall only become confirmed and binding upon receipt of the full payment by Château Giscours.
Any cancellation made less than seven (7) days prior to the scheduled arrival date shall result in Château Giscours retaining the full amount paid in respect of the booking, unless otherwise agreed by Château Giscours.
In the event of a no-show or early departure, the full amount of the booked stay shall remain payable and no refund shall be granted.
Pursuant to Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, accommodation services provided on a specific date or during a specified period are not subject to the statutory right of withdrawal.
Guest rooms are available from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the day of arrival. Guests expecting to arrive after 5:30 p.m. are kindly requested to notify Château Giscours in advance so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
Guest rooms must be vacated no later than 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed in writing by Château Giscours.
The Reception Team is available Monday to Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
and from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Arrivals are possible every day except Sunday, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Château Giscours shall make every reasonable effort to ensure that all services are provided as described. However, Château Giscours shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations resulting from circumstances beyond its
reasonable control, any act or omission attributable to the Customer, the actions of a third party, or any event constituting force majeure.
Château Giscours shall not be liable for the total or partial non-performance of its obligations where such non-performance results from an event of force majeure within the meaning of Article 1218 of the French Civil Code.
Right of Access and Rectification
In order to process orders and bookings and to provide the best possible service, Château Giscours collects and processes certain personal information relating to its Customers, including their name, address and date of birth.
Customers may receive information from Château Giscours by telephone, post or email regarding its products, services or events.
Customers who do not wish to receive such communications may notify Château Giscours in writing or update their communication preferences through their online account, where available.
In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, as amended, and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Customers have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict the processing of their personal
data, as well as the right to object to such processing where applicable.
Any request relating to personal data may be addressed directly to Château Giscours.
Payment Information
Payment information submitted when placing an order or making a booking online is transmitted through a secure payment system and is not stored by Château Giscours.
Appropriate technical and organisational measures are implemented to ensure the confidentiality and security of payment data.
Any unpaid amount resulting from the fraudulent use of a payment card may lead to the recording of information relating to the corresponding transaction where permitted by applicable law. Any irregular declaration or suspected fraud may also be subject to
appropriate verification procedures.

Should no amicable solution be reached, these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with French law.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall fall within the jurisdiction of the competent French courts, in accordance with the applicable rules of French law.
In accordance with Article L.3342-1 of the French Public Health Code, the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of eighteen (18) is prohibited.
By placing an order or making a booking, the Customer confirms that they are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the date of purchase or reservation.
Customers wishing to obtain information regarding the status of an order or booking may contact Château Giscours, whose team will be pleased to provide any relevant updates.
