Presents the old stables

Built in the 1830s, the Château’s Old Stables were restored to become a wine tourism venue at the heart of Giscours.
This is a vibrant place that visitors can explore during a tasting or a stay in one of our guest rooms.

A historic building

Marc Promis, the owner of Giscours from 1825 to 1847, sought to restore the vineyard and elevate it to the level of its prestigious neighbours. He turned Giscours into a modern operation by building other structures around the Château, including these stables, devoted to tilling the soil with draught horses.

In the 1970s and up to the end of the 1990s, this building served as stables for an iconic Giscours pastime: polo. It was used to store equipment, provide a practice area for professional and amateur players, and to celebrate victories in the Polo Bar.

A place devoted to tasting and wine tourism

This is the starting point for tours, but also an information area, and where our team of guides welcomes visitors. On the ground floor, a 90m² tasting room offers magnificent views of our vines. This space is perfect for a welcome coffee or a sensory wine workshop as a fun, friendly introduction to winegrowing. It is a favourite spot for our technical teams, who organise numerous tastings here.

It also contains a shop where visitors and customers can taste our fine wines.

Corporate seminars are also organised here in the old stables. A 96 m² meeting room overlooking the vines provides a setting that is perfect for organising a working day.

Guest rooms with vineyard views

If you want to recharge your batteries and spend a night or longer amid the Bordeaux vineyards, you will love our guest rooms. Located on the first floor of the Old Stables, our three rooms overlook ‘Les Bureaux’, the name given to the plot of vines in front of this building that was planted in 1983.
A magical place with unique views of the vineyard!
