Grand Prix Giscours: from 1 to 4 July, experience an exceptional horse show

From 1 to 4 July 2021, Giscours is proud to invite you to its estate for the first year of this national outdoor showjumping competition: the Grand Prix x Giscours.

For 25 years, the Albada Jelgersma family has been investing to transform Giscours into an estate where innovation, creation and boldness are central values, guiding both our fine winemaking and our ability to welcome guests.

Sporting competitions and cultural events have always taken place at Giscours and are part of our heritage and culture.
Today more than ever, we are proud to welcome you to the first ever Grand Prix de Giscours and to continue our estate’s position in the history of equestrian sport.

Thursday 1 July

• 4 preparatory events (1m, 1m10, 1m20, 1m30)
• Cocktail reception for partners in the Château park
• Tapas evening at Suzanne Farm

Friday 2 July

• 8:30 a.m.: professional speed event 1m25
• 11:30 a.m.: amateur speed event 1m15
• 2:30 p.m.: professional Grand Prix event 1m35
• 4:30 p.m.: amateur speed event 1m10
• 6:30 p.m.: show by the Cadre Noir of Saumur

Saturday 3 July

• 8:30 a.m.: professional speed event 1m25

• 6:30 p.m.: show by the Cadre Noir of Saumur

Tapas evening followed by La Nuit des Cavaliers at Suzanne Farm

Sunday 4 July

• 8:00 a.m.: amateur Grand Prix event 1m15
• 11:00 a.m.: professional Grand Prix event 1m30
• 1:00 p.m.: elite amateur Grand Prix event 1m25
• 3:30 p.m.: professional Grand Prix event 1m40

Thursday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., we invite you to participate in this exceptional horse show amid the vines.

Different restaurants and cafés will be open each day. The shop and wine bar terrace invite you to enjoy a wine tasting beneath the Giscours chestnut trees, taking advantage of the breathtaking views of the park and chateau.

To delight young and old alike, various artists will be in the Château park to offer a unique show! Children will also have the opportunity to take part in an introduction to horse riding in the park.
