Le Rosé X Giscours 2020: the new signature wine from Château Giscours

It all started with our desire to create a wine that would be more representative of our new dynamics and the precision of our work. In 2019, we decided to design a rosé press wine to replace the traditional Rosé de Giscours (a Saignée rosé). To this end, our teams carefully selected and nurtured a plot of Cabernet Sauvignon that was exclusively devoted to producing this rosé.

After harvesting on 1st September, the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were gently pressed to preserve the delicacy, freshness and balance of the tannins. Only the first pressing juice was selected and then fermented at a low temperature to create this light-coloured rosé with delicate white flower aromas.

This led to the creation of this exclusive cuvée confidentielle – a delightful surprise, and like all our fine wines, crafted with the greatest precision. More than another Bordeaux rosé, Le Rosé x Giscours is now becoming our signature wine.

Le Rosé x Giscours 2020 vintage has a light peach colour, presenting a wide range of fruity notes including redcurrant, raspberry and pear, as well as white flower aromas. This elegant wine offers all the qualities we particularly appreciate in a rosé: freshness, finesse, and wonderful energy!
